Some things really do sound better in English. I mention this because I've been doing a bit of injudicious translation. Take, as I did, the phrase "the great gray green greasy Limpopo river."
In Farsi it turns out "bozorg khakestari sabz roghani Limpopo rud."
I'm not making this up.
