You learn something new every day





So this beautiful Eilean Donan castle is actually in Scotland. And all this time I thought it was Irish; it was named "Eilean," after all!

Who knew?

Well, I knew; partly because it was held by my ancestors on my mother's side. :-)

(Sadly if it still belongs to the family it's some other branch thereof....)
